The
fifteen members of the trust raise money in the community for projects
that benefit young people in Ockbrook and Borrowash. The
awards were presented to Redhill Primary School for specialist art
equipment and The Ridings Pre School Playgroup for needed improvements.
They both received £250. Seventeen-year-old Beth James of Ockbrook was
given £300 towards a trip to Belize with the World Wide Challenge and £500
to Charles Eardley, Alex Bulman and Sam Turner. The three members of the
147 Borrowash Scouts have been chosen to take part in the World Scouts
Jamboree in Thailand. |

The
trust vice chairman Huw Morgan said “It was fantastic to be presenting
the first awards, this is what the Ockash Trust is all about. We will be
running several fundraising events again this year and hope people will
continue to support us as”. Anyone wanting more details of the Trust can
